The life of a young man is being honored through the creation of an educational center in his name to help others. Jeremy E. Watson, age 21, of Glenwood, Illinois passed away on February 24, 2009, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in East Lansing, Michigan. Jeremy E. Watson Educational Center, Inc. will provide educational programs and workshops to adults and families in Miami-Dade County and other surrounding cities and states in the USA as well as Internationally to enhance and empower their lives in order for them to become self-sufficient.

Jeremy grew up in Glenwood, Illinois, and was a graduate of Brookwood School District 167. He also graduated from Bloom Township High School where he was a member of the baseball team for 4 years and worked as a member of the Tech Crew. Jeremy went on to attend Michigan State University where he pledged the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and was preparing to earn a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science and Health Studies. When he was not pursuing his degree, he was a volunteer at Glenwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and participated in many fund-raising drives and events as a student at Michigan State University. Jeremy was well known for his vivacious and roaring personality antics but also his caring nature.
